DIPHU, Sept 10: In anticipation of the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE) 2024, the district magistrate of Karbi Anglong, Nirola Phangchopi, ACS, has issued a prohibitory order to ensure peace and smooth conduct of the examination.
The ADRE is scheduled to be held on September 15 and 29, and October 27. The order has been issued under Section 163 of the BNSS, effective immediately and will remain in force until further notice.
The prohibitory order aims to prevent unlawful activities, disturbances, and the use of unfair means in and around examination centers. As per the order, unauthorized individuals, including parents or guardians of examinees, are prohibited from entering within a 100-meter radius of the examination centers. Additionally, carrying electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, smart watches, health bands, and Bluetooth devices is strictly banned. Calculators, pen drives, textual materials (printed or written), and playing sound systems in high volume are also forbidden.
These preventive measures are critical to maintaining public order and ensuring the fairness of the recruitment process. The district magistrate also emphasized on serious consequences of violation the order. Offenders will face legal action under Section 233 of the BNS and Section 10(1) of the Assam Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act, 2024.
The district administration urged the public to cooperate fully and respect the restrictions to facilitate a peaceful examination. This order has been passed ex-parte and will remain in effect until the completion of the examination process.
