SIVASAGAR, June 7: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit in association with the Internal Quality Assessment Cell (IQAC), Demow College brought out a research journal – Abhijnan, which was released in a function held on the occasion of World Environment Day on Monday last in the college auditorium.
Releasing the book, the principal of the college Dr Devakanata Phukan said that it will inspire the students, and teachers besides inspiring the research scholars.
Bhim Dihingia, president of the Governing Body, inaugurated the function and thanked the three editors Palash Sarma, Dr Hemanta Koch, and Dr Lengdon Chetia.
The 300-page research journal contains papers of researchers from Hyderabad University, Arunachal University, Odisha University, and various universities of the state.
The programme was attended by several professors – Mina Baruah, Dipa Sarmah, Hamida Begum, Geetanjali Kalita, Pabitra Gogoi, Dr Wakidur Rahman, the employees, and the students of the college.
Prof Gunamani Gogoi welcomed the guests and spoke on the objectives. The teachers and students later took part in the sapling plantation and cleanliness drive on the occasion of World Environment Day.
