Restrictions in view of exams in Jorhat

JORHAT, Feb 12: The Jorhat district commissioner Jay Shivani in the capacity of district magistrate has imposed several restrictions in view of HSLC examination and HSSLC, 2025 which would commence from February 15.

By an order passed on Tuesday under Section 163 of the BNSS (Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita), the district magistrate has prohibited entry of unauthorised person or unnecessary crowding within 100 metres radius of the premises of examination centres in the district.
Parking, plying of vehicles will be not be allowed within the radius of 100 metres from the examination centre except the vehicles of authorised persons, officers, police personnel detailed on duty for the examination and other essential services like ambulance, fire tender, etc. during the examination period.


Mobile phones, calculators any other communication devices such as bluetooth, Wi-fi ,etc shall not be allowed inside the examination centres/premises except that of Centre in-charge and authorised persons on duty during the examination period. Playing loud music/sound system in and around the examination centres till the completion of the examination has been barred.


No food stalls and shops, etc will be allowed within the radius of 100 metres of the examination centres. Mentioning that the restrictions comes into force with immediate effect and will remain in force until further order, the order stated thar any violation of the order is punishable under Section 223 of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita).
