Samagra Shiksha Sonitpur honours 119 schools

TEZPUR, February20: In an august event organised by  Samagra Shiksha Sonitpur in  the conference hall of the District Commissioners office here on Thursday, a total of 119 school management and development committees and Matrigots   among 800 schools of the Sonitpur district  were honoured with special awards for their better management and pursuit of excellence in managing the respective schools.

The meeting held for the purpose was chaired by the additional district commissioner (Education), Sonitpur Kabita Kakati Konwar.

The best school from 119 circle resource centres  of the district  were honoured specially for their performance during the year.

Addressing the gathering ADC Kabita Kakati Konwar urged all to focus on achieving educational and academic excellence during the days ahead.

“We should payhead and dedicate our services fully for the infrastructural and academic development of the schools and strive for excellence”.

Representing the award winning schools Gajen Nath, Head of the Milanpur Saikia Chuburi M.E. School, heads and presidents of several schools and school management and development committees shared their views and expressed their commitment for upliftment and overall progress of the educational scenario of their institutions.

District planning officer, Krishna Kanta Deka speaking on the occasion congratulated the award winning schools and achiever matrigots (Mother Group) for their dedication and urged all to extend their cooperation for overall benevolence of the educational arena.

Inspector of schools, Sonitpur district circle Prabhat Das, district planning officer Krishna Kanta Deka and Manoj Kumar Gohain, assistant inspector of schools Anup Kumar Biswas, deputy inspector of schools Nilojjwal Sarma, Dhekiajuli block primary education officer Nazima Sultana, Naduar  block primary education officer Pranab Bora, circle resource coordinators and heads, school management and development committee presidents, teachers of  schools of the district were present in the programme.
