The programme began with a welcome address by Additional District Commissioner Mustafa Salim Ahmed, who reflected on Baksa’s developmental journey over the past two years and highlighted the district’s progress in last year’s campaign. He urged all line departments to work collectively to ensure 100 percent saturation of identified indicators and effective delivery of benefits at the grassroots level.

District Commissioner Gautam Das emphasised the pivotal role of departments in implementing Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0, stressing a mission-driven approach to sustain previous gains and accelerate development. BTC Secretary Manas Das, ACS, also addressed the gathering.

The key focus areas include Health and Nutrition, Education and Agriculture and Allied sectors. Health initiatives aim to ensure regular supplementary nutrition for children aged six months to six years, proper measurement of children at Anganwadi Centres and functional toilets and safe drinking water at all centres. In Education, the campaign prioritises adequate toilet facilities for girls, while the Agriculture sector focuses on full vaccination of bovine animals against Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) within two and a half months.

The launch was attended by MCLA Diganta Goyari, former MLA Thaneswar Basumatary, along with Heads of Departments and officials from concerned departments.
