BAKALIA, Dec 29: Forest officials of Northern Range, West Division seized approximately a hundred cubic feet of sawn timber from Paklangso and Rajapathar area on Wednesday night in two search operations.

The forest officials seized one pickup truck bearing registration number AS 01 BC 9800 with loaded sawn timber. In another operation, forest officials seized seven bicycles used to carry sawn wood. The market value of the seized timber is estimated to be around Rs 50,000 a forest officer said.
