The facility aims to streamline the collection of household items such as old clothes, books, toys, and shoes, promoting sustainable waste practices in the region.

Anand Kumar Sharma, chairman of the Margherita Municipal Board, inaugurated the centre. During the event, he urged residents to donate unused items to the RRR Centre instead of discarding them improperly, emphasising community responsibility in reducing waste.

This marks the second RRR Centre established in Margherita, following the success of the first, which was opened last year.

The initiative highlights the Municipal Board’s commitment to fostering environmental awareness and a recycling culture within the town.
