Skill development training organised in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, March 29: A public consultation on the skill, employment, and entrepreneurship development was organised at the Iragdao community hall in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. The program aimed at imparting training on capacity building and livelihood earning among the citizens and was organised by the SEED department of Bodoland Territorial Region government to impart training on the skill, employment and entrepreneurship development among the citizens.

BTR Council Head of Department (CHD) for SEED department Pranjal Das; adviser to the SEED department, Ranjan Kumar Baruah attended the program as resource persons.

During the occasion, Baruah said that such consultation can help in the development of skills and contribute to structural transformation and economic growth by enhancing employability and labour productivity and helping societies to be more progressive. He added that the Bodoland Skill Employment & Entrepreneurship Development Mission was inaugurated on December 14, 2021, and since then the BTR government is working all out to provide a good quality skill ecosystem to the youth.

Meanwhile, the Kokrajhar district committee of the BJP carried out training on social media among the party members and workers at Terapanth Bhawan in Kokrajhar. Hundreds of party activists from different mandals of Kokrajhar district participated in the training which was graced by the state convenor of the social media cell of the BJP party, Palaah Lahon.
