DEMOW, May 28: Under the patronage of Sonapur Social Development Society, an NGO in association with Child in Need Institute, Momentum Country and Global Leadership India Citizen Foundation, Kharahat gaon panchayat and Athabari gaon panchayat, the Menstrual Hygiene Day was organised in Rajmai Tea Estate Adarsha School for two days.
On the occasion, a quiz competition and a medical test camp was organised. Dr Rajib Jangid, doctor in Demow Block Primary Health Centre did the health check-up of the students and addressed the menstruation related issues, health and hygiene.
Later, under the presidentship of Jiten Nath, principal of Rajmai Tea Estate Adarsha School, the open session was held on Saturday. Sanjay Prasad Sah, president of Sonapur Social Development Society, an NGO shared about the aims of the meeting.
In the programme, Aman Ullah Ahmed, Child in Need Institute, Momentum Country and Global Leadership India-Yash district convenor, Lipika Dutta, convenor, Silash Basumatary, project manager, Jina Nanda, Citizen Foundation, social worker, members of Sonapur Social Development Society, an NGO along with other dignitaries were present.
