State convention of NHRCCB to be held tomorrow

BISWANATH CHARIALI, May 19: 
The convention of National Human Rights and Crime Control Bureau is going to be held on May 21, 2023 at the Vishwaratna Hotel, Guwahati. The convention will be organised by the National Human Rights and Crime Control Bureau.
In a press release, the state media officer Mrinmay Kumar Nath, the state president of NHRCCB Nisant Thard stated that the Governor of Assam will also attend the occasion.
On the auspicious day, the Assam Human Rights Special Award will be presented to Padma Hazarika, MLA, Sootea constituency and chairman of Kanyaka and Garukhuti Projects for initiating the agricultural revolution across the state. Along with him, the award will be presented to Surjit Roy Chowdhury, senior vice president and chief zonal officer, Kolkata regional branch of Bandhan Bank for financially contributing for the empowerment of women in Assam and Swasti Bidhan Baruah, advocate, Guwahati High Court.
The association will also extend sincere honour to the cabinet minister Sanjay Kishan and former IPS officer Violet Barua.
The convention will be attended by the national president of NHRCC, Dr Randhir Kumar and secretary Sanjeev Kumar and legal advisor of the National Bureau of Human Rights and Crime, advocate of the Supreme Court of India Dr Jyoti Jonglulu.
The convention will be attended by journalists who have been helping the departmental authorities as well as the public through media to convey the work of the National Human Rights and Crime Control Bureau, Assam in the recent past.
