Student Bodies Demand Stoppage Of 7 Trains At Bokajan Station

BAKAJAN, Sept 7: Student organisations of Bokajan demanded the stoppage of seven trains. A memorandum in this regard was handed over to the station manager of Bokajan Railway Station.

Karbi Students Association (KSA), Assam Jatiyabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), All Adivasi Students Association of Assam (AASAA), Akhil Asom Bhujpuri Parisad of Assam (AABPA), All Assam Bengali Youth Federation of Assam (AABYFA), All Assam Gorkha Students Union (AAGSU), All Assam Manipuri Students Union (AAMSU), All Bengali Youth Students Union (ABYSU) and Karbi Anglong Bengali Samaj (KABS) are the organisations who demanded the train stoppage as they reasoned that due to the less number of trains stopping at Bokajan Railway Station the population is facing difficulties in communication as railways in the cheapest means.

The trains the youth and student organisations for which stoppage is demanded are Avadh Assam Express, Nagaland Express, Kamrup Express, BG Express, Chandigarh Express, NTSK SB Brahmaputra Express and Rajdhani Express.

They also requested that the MP, Horensing Bey should look into it.
