BISWANATH CHARIALI, July 23: The 50th Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) of 5 Assam BN NCC, conducted under the Tezpur Group Headquarters, reached its successful culmination on Sunday at Jamugurihat. The ten-day camp, held at THB College, Jamugurihat, commenced on July 14 and witnessed active participation from six hundred NCC cadets belonging to 5 Assam BN NCC and 73 Assam Girls’ Coy.

Colonel Abhram N, the commanding officer of 5 Assam BN NCC, inaugurated the camp on July 15, delivering a warm welcome address to the participating cadets. Over the course of the 10-day camp, the cadets were exposed to a comprehensive training program, facilitated by specialists from the Indian Air Force, SSB, Assam Police, and Fire and Emergency Services. The training encompassed various essential aspects, including self-defense techniques, cyber security, weapon display, and valuable insights into career opportunities in the Armed forces.

In addition to military subjects, the cadets also received training in academic subjects to promote a holistic learning experience. The CATC camp provided an excellent platform for the cadets to hone their skills, broaden their knowledge, and foster camaraderie.

A remarkable cultural conclave was held on Friday in the college auditorium, graced by Colonel Praveen Bhal (VSM), the deputy group commander of Tezpur Group, and other esteemed dignitaries.
