Sukapha Multifacility Hospital starts trauma-care  treatment

SIVASAGAR, Aug 12: Sukapha Multifacility Hospital in Rajabari near here on Saturday began the
emergency Trauma care Centre with a team of doctors for the benefit of the general public.
Addressing the press meeting held in the hospital today, Dr Gautom Das said that the hospital authority
has added the neurosurgery section with the former trauma centre which may help those emergency
cases in road accidents or strokes for immediate relief and treatment. He urged the media to inform the
public about the availability of the facilities. The specialist team consists of Dr Arijit Chakravarty, Dr
Nirmal Chandra Chutia, Dr Putul Chetia, Dr Uday Arun Rana, and Dr Gautam Das. The team has so far
successfully completed 20 brain operations in the centre.
The doctors said that emergency neurosurgical care or spine surgery is necessary for letting the blood
out of the injured brain or body part as early as possible for which the patient must be hospitalised
within the first hour. Endoscope and   Microscope facilities are available now in the hospital.
