The scheme covers a total of 5,954 female beneficiaries

NAGAON, Oct 29: District administration of Nagaon on Saturday ceremonially inaugurated the distribution of cheques among 5,954 women beneficiaries in second phase across the district under Assam Micro Finance Incentive and Relief Scheme 2021 (AMFIRS) here at the auditorium of Nagaon Sangskritik Prakalpa.
Attending the ceremonial distribution programme as chief guest, the State Transport minister and the guardian minister of the district Parimal Suklabaidya ceremonially inaugurated the distribution of the cheques for the second phase under the scheme among the female micro loan borrowers.
It is worth mentioning that the authority concerned of Planning department, has nominated a total of 5,954 female beneficiaries for the second phase in the district under the scheme.
The minister on Saturday ceremonially distributed cheques of Rs 20,000 each among over nine female beneficiaries in the inaugural programme and the cheques of incentives would be distributed categorically among the rest of the beneficiaries soon by the officials of district administration as well as other officials concerned of those micro financial establishments.
During the distribution programme, local MLA Rupak Sarma, deputy commissioner Narendra Kr Shah, Simanta Bora, vice chairman of Nagaon municipality board as well as other officials of district administration were present.
While addressing the occasion, the minister claimed that Assam was the only State in the entire country where the local Government under leadership of Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma thought about the hardship of the poor women borrowers of the rural areas and boldly ruled out the relief and incentives scheme 2021 to lessen the turmoil of the poor rural women of the State.
The minister applauded chief minister for his bold implementation of the scheme in the State.
