Three car lifters arrested from Manja, Assam

DIPHU, April 4: In a major breakthrough, Karbi Anglong police have arrested three car lifters, including a woman car lifter, during a regular naka check at Manja in Karbi Anglong on Monday evening around 5 pm.

According to the police, a suspicious SUV Baleno car bearing registration number UP-15-DM-0963 coming from Bakalia and heading towards Dimapur was checked. During the checking of the vehicle documents, the engine and chassis number reveal that it was a stolen one.

The apprehended persons have been identified as Sangita Yadav and Ravinder Yadav, husband and wife, residents of flat No. 14 ground floor South Extension, Garh road under Medical police station, Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh and Aashish Choudhary, son of Harinder Singh of  Iklota Modipuram village under Medical police station, Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh.
