The woman legendary figure Kajir Ronghangpi was the daughter of Hok Ronghang.

It is believed that she was taken to and brought up in the abode of gods and goddesses. On attaining divinity and being blessed with divine powers, Kajir Ronghangpi came down to earth in search of her parents and brothers.

She rebuilt the territory of her father in and around the present Kaziranga National Park.

Masses believe that she brought with her ‘kindu’ – rhinoceros for tilling the earth. Kajir Ronghangpi went back to the abode of gods leaving the kindu behind.
