DONGKAMUKAM, March 16: The chief executive member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang laid the foundation stones of a number of development schemes in Bithung Rengthama Member of Autonomous Council (MAC) constituency in West Karbi Anglong on Thursday.
Among the schemes are Fishery Project Amrit Sarovar and Amrit Sarovar Collective Mulberry Garden at Menmiji each with an estimated cost of Rs 25 lakh; Amrit Sarovar Eri Concentration Centre and construction of cement concrete block pavement road both at Kolonga and others.
CEM Tuliram Ronghang speaking at Menmiji said that the construction committee formed for the purpose should complete the construction in the stipulated time. The cement concrete block pavement approach road connecting the schemes, which was half done, should be completed for which an additional amount will be sanctioned. An Inspection Bungalow will be built at Menmiji with a boundary wall within a year.
The programme was attended by MACs of KAAC, Abhijit Kro, Headsing Rongphar and Phenphiga Rengma; chairman of Minority Development Board, Prakash Sangma; chairman of Veterinary Development Board, Ditolal Hasnu; Village Development Board, Ramson Rongpi and block development officer of Rongkhang Development Block, Reeta Rongpipi and others.
