Two dead bodies found at Nagaon railway station

NAGAON, March 5: A shocking incident unfolded at the Nagaon railway station this morning where two bodies were found, sending shockwaves through the local community.

According to eyewitnesses, the first body, believed to be that of a young man, was found near the station’s counter around 8:30 AM. The Railway Police took the body into custody and initiated an investigation. Sources suggest the deceased, identified as Chandra Mani, was a drug addict and his death is suspected to be linked to an overdose.

In another separate incident, a woman’s body was found approximately 100 meters from the station. Witnesses claim she had alighted from the Chennai – Shilghat Tambaram train and was conversing with some locals when she collapsed and died.

The area is gripped in grief, with both incidents sparking widespread concern. The Railway Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination at Nagaon Medical College Hospital. The woman’s identity is yet to be ascertained till the time of filing this report, sources added further.
