Two killed in road accident in Tinsukia

DIBRUGARH, April 8: Two people were killed after they were run over by dumper in eastern Assam Tinsukia on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, the incident took place near Gargo Motors in Tinsukia at around 8 am.

The deceased persons were riding motorcycle when a speeding dumper ran over them.

The motorcycle was registered in the name of Ramesh Ojha.

Meanwhile, police reached the accident spot and started investigation.

“Two persons were killed on the spot after they were run over by a speeding vehicle. The accident happened near Gargo Motors at around 8 am. We have started investigation into the matter and collecting CCTV footages,” said a police official.

He said, “Most of the accident took place due to over speeding. We suspect that dumper ran over them. The identity of the person was not known. But from the registration of the vehicle, we come to know that the vehicle was registered under Ramesh Ojha’s name.”

Eyewitness said the two persons were killed on the spot after they were ran over by speeding vehicle.
