MARGHERITA, Jan 10: Upper Assam Sumi Baptist Christian Union (UASBCU) 61st U Session Annual Conference began on Friday at Tsaliki village under Margherita Co-District with the theme “Reverting back to God”.
The first day of the session began with prayers, dance performances, and gospels songs along with the word of God delivered by speaker Kakheli Inato Jimo, secretary of the department of women ministry, WSBAK.

Jogdang Jugli, president of Upper Assam Sumi Baptist Christian Union (UASBCU), said that every year annual conference of UASBCU is held at the sumi villages of Upper Assam but this year it is being held at Tsaliki village under Margherita Co-District.
Notably, the conference shall conclude on 12th January.
Tsaliki village gaon pradhan Hekiya Sema said that Baptist Christian devotees came from different regions, including Upper Assam, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh alongwith speakers Kakheli Inato Jimo and Dr Hutton Sumi who came from Nagaland.
On the day of conclusion, Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly speaker Tesam Pongte and Margherita Co-District Commissioner Parikshit Thoudam will attend as a chief guest, said Sema.
