Guwahati, 25 Oct: A young woman was found dead, tied with rope, in a rented room in Lakhimi Nagar, Guwahati. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.
The body was discovered in the residence of a youth named Nayan Das. Neighbours reported that the room, located at House No. 12, Shrikrishna Path, Lakhimi Nagar, had previously been rented to a couple in a live-in relationship several months ago.

Documents provided to the landlord confirmed the occupancy of both the young man and the young woman. Nayan Das, the male resident, had been away for several days, while the female resident had recently visited her home in Boko, a week earlier.
On returning to the rented house on Friday night, the woman reportedly discovered the body of another unidentified young woman tied with rope inside the room. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
