Yoga camp organised at Dhing College

NAGAON, May 10:
Arogya Yoga Kendra, a unit of Arogya Care Foundation, in collaboration with two prominent yoga practitioners – Dibyajyoti Deka and Swaroopjyoti Deka from Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya (MSSV), Guwahati unit organised a two-day long yoga camp at Dhing College’s indoor stadium. The extension activity cell of Dhing College initiated the programme to focus on three parts of Ashtanga yoga associated with non-violence, truthfulness as well as the harmful effects of stealing.

While inaugurating the programme, Dr Biman Hazarika, principal of the college appreciated the initiative taken by Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya (MSSV) and stated that such programme would be highly beneficial for students.

Over hundreds of students as well as other participants took part in the programme. During the valediction session, Rupjyoti Kar, secretary to Arogya Yoga Kendra, Dhing expressed his gratitude to both the yoga experts for explaining the benefits of naturopathy treatment and asserted that such event should be encouraged to spread awareness about the benefits of yoga for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, a release added.
