JORHAT, April 8: A youth, Dibyajyoti Das (31) and a woman, Mohini Das (49) were arrested at the Masorhaat area here today on charges of peddling drugs.

Police recovered 8.71 gram of suspected heroin, six syringes, an Android phone and Rs 3500 in cash from the possession of Dibyajyoti Das.

A police source said that Dibyajyoti Das had told the police that he had been handed all the items by Mohini Das (49) and had been sent by her to the Masorhaat area to meet customers.
Following this information Police arrested Mohini Das.
