GUWAHATI, March 29: Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) has embarked on its third edition of ‘Art for Hope,’ a flagship initiative aimed at uplifting and showcasing the diverse talent of Indian artists.
With a focus on promoting traditional art, craft, and culture, the event celebrates the rich heritage of India’s artistic landscape.
The four-day exhibition and workshop, held at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi, from March 28-31, 2024, serves as a platform for emerging artists, youth, women, communities, and local talents, supported by HMIF grants. The initiative, aligned with Hyundai’s global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity,’ aims to democratize access to art while providing national exposure to artists across various domains.
At the inaugural ceremony, attended by esteemed personalities such as Mr. Un Soo Kim, MD & CEO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., the emphasis was placed on inclusivity, with the inclusion of specially-abled artists. Mr. Kim highlighted HMIF’s commitment to enriching lives through art, recognizing its transformative power and unique perspective.
The event not only showcases diverse artworks but also emphasizes inclusivity through braille, tactile artworks, and sign language interpretations for differently-abled visitors. Additionally, workshops and panel discussions on cultural sustainability and art as a catalyst for social change further enrich the experience, demonstrating HMIF’s commitment to nurturing India’s artistic community.
