Technothlon proudly stands as an international school championship, initiated by the brilliant minds of IIT Guwahati. Since its inception in 2004, Technothlon has embarked on an incredible journey spanning over 19 years, captivating students in more than 400 cities worldwide.

Students from classes 9 to 12 will face the ultimate test of logic and creativity, competing for the grand prize of Technothlon. Divided into two squads, the competition intensifies as participants showcase their individual mettle. The Junior Squad consists of talented students from grade 9 & 10, while the Hauts Squad comprises exceptional students from grade 11 & 12. Both squads will tackle a set of thought-provoking questions crafted meticulously by the students of IIT Guwahati.

Technothlon consists of two phases: prelims and mains. The preliminary round challenges participants to demonstrate their raw potential, as no prior preparation is required. This round demands spontaneity and out-of-the-box thinking, putting the candidates’ abilities to the ultimate test. The top 50 participants from each squad will advance to the next round: the mains, which will be hosted during Techniche at IIT Guwahati from August 31 to September 3. During the mains, the competition intensifies, pushing the competitors to their limits in a battle to claim the coveted championship.

Past winners of Technothlon have been rewarded with extraordinary opportunities such as guided tours of NASA for the champions and guided tours of ISRO for the runners-up. These incredible experiences highlight the immense value and prestige associated with Technothlon.

Technothlon is pleased to announce Physics Wallah (PW) as the esteemed title sponsor for the highly anticipated 20th edition of Technothlon. Imran Rashid, vice president (Central Partnerships) at PW, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to partner with Technothlon 2023. Physics Wallah’s mission aligns with that of Technothlon to nurture young minds and provide them with opportunities to excel. Together, we aim to provide a platform where students can unleash their maximum potential and embark on an inspiring journey of learning and innovation.”

“Technothlon, the largest student-organised exam in the country, has a dedicated team of bright minds striving for its success. I guess no other exam in our nation has such an able team of ‘students’ working tirelessly to make the entire event a success. Our motive is to encourage independent thinking among students, regardless of academic and social biases. We reflect this in our question paper and events at IIT Guwahati. Looking forward to the 20th edition and inspiring more children,” said Uday Kanike, overall coordinator, Technothlon 2023.

Registration for Technothlon is now open. Visit technothlon.techniche.org for online registrations. For offline registration, Technothlon city representatives will reach out to schools across various cities, spreading the joy of science and technology through inspiring activities.
