GUWAHATI, June 7: An Assam-based automobile manufacturing company has developed a mini tractor, keeping in mind those farmers who dream of buying a tractor, but cannot afford one. The managing director, Kumar Gaurav, told the media that the objective is to serve small and middle class farmers with their single cylinder diesel operated 13 HP horizontal 888-D series engine, which is designed to deliver in the most economical way.
Mini tractors are known to be the most affordable tractors for farmers because they are suitable for handling a small amount of land labour and a small acre of agricultural land with a powerful, 4 foot-long, capable, and advanced rotavator and an innovative hydraulic system with a 1.5-tonne capacity. This mini tractor has a cutting-edge design. During the briefing, Kumar Gaurav said that in Assam, this tractor will cost Rs 2,25,888 only, and the company will offer a 1-year warranty on the product, the mini tractor KUMAR-13.
Kumar further added that “with this tractor, our buyers will be able to own their buying investment within two months during soil preparation time, and the company is confident that by offering a world-class quality product, KUMAR-13 will be able to sell not less than 1200 units in Assam.”
Speaking to the media, Kumar Gaurav said, “We are very thankful to the thousands of our buyers in Assam, those who trusted us and bought Kumar’s E Rickshaw and Power Tiller.” That is why we got the strength to build the most innovative and economic tractor, the KUMAR-13, which is badly needed for small and medium farmers. We are very sure that our tractor, KUMAR-13, will play a vital role in Assam for mechanisation in the agricultural sector, where the honourable CM of Assam and the Govt of Assam are very keen on the development of the agriculture sector in Assam state. Keeping that in mind, the company has made an effort, and we are very much sure that KUMAR-13 will delight the respected farmers through its performance.”.
Talking about the financing issue of the product, Kumar said that the company has a tie-up with Echo Finance in order to ease the financial load for the farmers and provide them with up to three-month interest-free loans. As of now, the company has claimed to have 3000 potential customers who are interested in acquiring this product.
As chief guest, Sri Partha Sarathi Mahanta, DIG Assam Police Administration, and STF were also present in the event and appreciated the effort made by Kumar Engineering. He is very hopeful that the company will honour his commitment towards the buyer and that finally the objective will be achieved.
