GUWAHATI, April 20: The electric goods carrier vehicle launched by Assam based automobile company Kumar Engineering has become customer’s choice within a very short span of time. The 2400 electric vehicle weighing 756 kgs with 1500 RPM and a carrying capacity of 4+1 with 1 to 1.5 KW was able to garner a 66 percent increase in sales compared to last year. It is worthwhile to mention that the specially crafted battery enables the vehicle to run for 100 kms in a single charge. The battery takes 7 hours for optimal charging and contains two gears, one reverse and another 3 step thrust and an in-built music system.
Kumar Engineering has been able to garner a turnover of Rs 76 crore. Moreover managing director of the company Kumar Gaurav feels that seeing customer’s satisfaction, demand and newer launches the company is expecting a turnover of around Rs 150 crore in the current financial year. Addressing the media persons Gaurav told them about the company’s future plannings and expectations and the success story of the electric goods carrier.
Interacting with the media house during a press conference, the honorary chairperson of Kumar engineering Deepak Vohra, showed his gratitude towards the people of Assam. Speaking on the vision of the company he added that the company aims to be a unicorn in the coming few years. “It is difficult, but not impossible”, he said. As per the managing director Kumar Gaurav, there would be four more products launched in the markets of Assam. The conventional machineries will still continue in the market but “With proper research, the conventional machinery can also be ecofriendly”, Vohra said on Thursday.
The company will always try to keep and uphold the faith and belief of the people of Assam by assuring the deliverance of the best services always, he told the media.
