Speaking about the 8th Edition of the Guwahati Food Awards, Sunit Jain, managing director, and publisher of G Plus said, “It has been a great journey for G Plus and the Guwahati Food Awards over the last 7 years. Being true to the theme of the awards this year – ‘Raise the bar higher’, the eighth edition of the award promises to be an even bigger and more engaging event this year. The last few years have been challenging for the F&B industry due to the covid drawn pandemic but slowly and steadily it has been able to re-establish itself. The Guwahati Food Awards is dedicated to the diverse and rapidly developing F&B industry of the city.”

Notably, this year the Guwahati Food Awards have received more than 220 nominations under 32 award categories from over 75 enterprises covering the whole spectrum of food service in the city. Based on public voting the shortlisted restaurants under each category will be visited by esteemed jury members to evaluate each one of them on different parameters. The cumulative scores from public voting and jury visits will be calculated and the top winners under each category will be awarded.

Additionally, as part of the Guwahati Food Awards 2022, the Great Guwahati Bake Off will also be held in January 2023. This aims to provide an opportunity for all the home bakers of Guwahati to win the Home Baker of the Year award.
