Guwahati, May 22: Medanta-Gurugram, on Sunday, got a team of gastroenterologists to screen and consult patients and prescribe the right treatment to them in Guwahati. Dr. Smruti Ranjan Mishra, director Gastroenterology, Institute of Digestive and Hepatobiliary Sciences, Medanta Gurugram, and his team consulted with patients at Ganga Clinic in Guwahati.
Notably, Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine that deals with the digestive system, intestine, and its disorders. Dr. Mishra said that problems with the digestive system sometimes limit the body’s ability to absorb nutrients, store fat and regulate blood sugar. These issues might result in bigger problems at a later stage.
