He also announced the upcoming Karbi-language independent feature film Love You Mess, which will be directed by Khanjan Kishore Nath and produced by Ranjit Teron. According to Teron, the project has moved closer to the international stage following co-production meetings held during the Cannes Film Market.

As part of the project, UK-based Hong Kong creative professional Hiu Man Chan has joined as Executive Producer and will oversee international festival strategy, sales, distribution and marketing outside India.

“This is not just a film; it is another proud opportunity to showcase Karbi culture, language and storytelling to the world. The encouragement and support of cinema lovers will inspire us to continue this journey and take Karbi cinema to greater heights,” Teron said.

On behalf of Ruru Rara Entertainment and the Karbi Film Society, Teron also expressed gratitude to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member and MLA Tuliram Ronghang for his continued support and encouragement towards the growth of Karbi cinema.

He said Ronghang’s vision and motivation have played a significant role in helping Karbi cinema gain recognition on national and international platforms.
