DIPHU, March 22: In the 12th Rangsina Sarpo Film Award and Rangsina Sarpo Folk Artist Award organised by department of cultural affairs, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) the Best Feature Film was awarded to Serdihun.

The award ceremony was held at Langkung Habe Auditorium, Matipung on Tuesday evening which was attended by Karbi film actors and artistes.
Altogether 23 awards were given to various artistes of Karbi Anglong among them are best male Rangsisna Sarpo Folk Artist Award to Mohindra Engti of Den Arong and female Rangsina Sarpo Folk Artist Award to Kanam Beypi (77) of Borpung. The prizes have been handed over by executive member of KAAC, Surya Rongphar. The prizes consisted of Rs. 10,000 and a citation.

Best Actor (Male)- Bijoy Lekthe (Film; Artu)10. Best Actor (Female) Kiran Engtipi (Film; Artu)11. Best script/ screenplay – Bhaity Engti (film; Artu) 12. Best Art Director – Borsing Teron & Longki Teron (Film; Serdihun)13. Best comedian- Sodar Engti (Film; Klir Ningve) 14. Best Film Editor – Bapuram Ronghang (Film;Klir Ningve) 15. Best make-up – Jitu Saikia (Film; Serdihun) 16.Best Actor Negative Role (Male) Nigam Ronghang – (Film; Artu) 17 Best Actor Negative Role (Female) Malin Tissopi – (Film; Harchi Keprai)18.Best Director – Bhaity Engti (Film; Artu)19 .Best Documentary Film – (Chojun BK Film production) and 20.Special Jury Award 2022 – Rengmir Hansepi , (Film ; Riro Akanghon).
EM Surya Rongphar, art and culture who attended the event as the guest of honour said, “This is the 12th edition of the Rangsina Sarpo Film Award, every year the art and culture department has organised the event to promote emerging artists.”
He also appeals to all the film enthusiasts who make feature and short films and documentary films and song composers to write songs which are linked with the root of the community.
The screening committee members of Rangsina Sarpo Film Award, 2023 are Rajib Kro (Chairman) Sarthe Terang (Member) Jibon Teron (Member) Chandrosing Dera (Member) Sashikala Hansepi (Member) Bindu Terangpi (Member) and Dipali , Amphi Chetia (Member).
The programme was attended by EM, KAAC, Prabhat Chandra Taro; MACs Johny Timung and Avijit Kro; president of KCS, Chandrasing Kro; president of Karbi Lammet Amei, Barim Engti; Padmashree Dhaneswar Engti and others.
