Mumbai, Jan 23: The film ‘To Kill A Tiger’ is a nominee for Best Documentary Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards.
The film, directed by Nisha Pahuja from Toronto, explores the Jharkhand gangrape case and the subsequent fight for justice by the victim’s parents. Other nominees in this category include ‘Bobi Wine: The People’s President’, ‘The Eternal Memory’, ‘Four Daughters’, and ’20 Days in Mariupol’.
The documentary had a theatrical debut in North America last year, supported by executive producers Dev Patel, Mindy Kaling, and Rupi Kaur. The 96th Academy Awards will be held on March 10 and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
