IASST to host ‘Industry-Academia Conclave on Technology Transfer’

GUWAHATI, Feb 26: The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology is set to host a transformative Industry-Academia Conclave on Technology Transfer on March 4, 2024, at IASST. This pioneering initiative aims to catalyse collaboration between academia and industry, fostering a dynamic ecosystem conducive to accelerating innovation, commercialisation, and the widespread adoption of cutting-edge technologies for the betterment of society.

With a keen focus on facilitating the seamless exchange of ideas and knowledge, the conclave is expected to serve as a pivotal platform for stakeholders to converge, ideate, and forge meaningful partnerships. Anticipated participants include a diverse spectrum of professionals ranging from researchers and academicians to industry stalwarts and aspiring students.

Professor Ashis Kr Mukherjee, director of IASST, expressed his optimistic outlook on the forthcoming conclave, envisioning it as a catalytic force in bridging the gap between academia and industry. He remarked, “We are enthusiastic about the potential of this platform to unite experts from academia and industry, fostering collaborative endeavors aimed at translating innovative research into tangible real-world applications.”

The conclave is set to feature a series of expert talk sessions led by distinguished scientists hailing from prestigious institutions, including TIFAC, SCTIMST, Himalayan Biochemie Herbs, Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd., and Tezpur University. These sessions will offer invaluable insights into the latest advancements in technology and innovation, serving as catalysts for meaningful dialogue and collaborative exploration.
