New Delhi, Feb 23: Swiggy, a leading food delivery service in India, is joining hands with Indian Railways to deliver pre-booked meals to passengers via IRCTC’s e-catering portal.
The service is expected to launch soon, with an aim to enhance the passenger experience by providing diverse food choices during train journeys. IRCTC has collaborated with Swiggy for the delivery of pre-ordered meals, initially offering services at four railway stations, with plans to extend to other stations post the first phase.
The intention behind this initiative is to improve the passenger experience by offering convenient food options during train journeys. IRCTC has previously partnered with food delivery platforms like Zomato in October 2023 to offer similar services at various railway stations.
The IRCTC e-catering portal allows passengers to order food for train travel easily by entering their PNR number to access a variety of restaurant options available for their journey.
The ordered meals are then delivered directly to their seats. With this new partnership between IRCTC and Swiggy, train passengers can look forward to a wider selection of meal options and a seamless ordering process, enhancing their overall travel experiences.
