Agartala-Lokmanya Tilak Express derailed, no casualties

AGARTALA, Oct 17: The Agartala- Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express has derailed on Thursday afternoon at Dibalong station under Lumding division.

The officials said, there are no major injuries or casualties.

Northeast Frontier officials said that 12520 Agartala – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express that left Agartala today morning derailed at Dibalong station under Lumding division in the Lumding  – Bardarpur Hill section at about 15-55 hrs.

“08(eight) coaches including the power car and the Engine of the train got derailed. However, no casualty or major injuries have been reported. Accident Relief Train and Accident Relief Medical Train has already left for the site from Lumding along with senior officials of division to supervise the rescue and restoration works. Running of trains over the Lumding – Badarpur single line section has been suspended”, said the official.
