AMBA will commemorate the day with day-long activities at its office at Khundrakpam Awang Leikai Mamang Ching in Imphal East in Manipur.

The ‘World Bee Day’ serves as an international platform to raise awareness about the importance of bees and other pollinators for biodiversity, food security and sustainable development. As we confront global challenges such as climate change, habitat loss and biodiversity decline, recognising the critical role of bees in maintaining ecological balance has never been more urgent.

The event will share their expertise and insights on the significance of bees in agriculture, ecology, and rural livelihoods. Attendees can expect a series of enlightening presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities, aimed at fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among beekeeping enthusiasts, farmers, researchers and policymakers.

“We are thrilled to invite farmers and beekeeping enthusiasts to join us in celebrating the World Bee Day, 2024,” said Atom Sunil Singh, secretary of AMBA.
