Assam Rifles Conduct Yoga Utsav

BISWANATH CHARIALI, May 4: Lokra Battalion under the aegis of Headquarter 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) had organised Yoga Utsav for all ranks at Lokra on Monday to promote celebration of 8th International Yoga Day scheduled on June 21. The event was aimed to educate all ranks about the various yoga postures and breathing techniques that helps to keep one physically and mentally fit. During the event, all ranks were also educated on how yoga helps in building body awareness, strength, flexibility and fighting the fatigue of the body and mind.

The event was also aimed to give wider publicity to various dimensions of yoga and its utility and also to promote the 100 days countdown campaign to IDY-2022 for health, wellbeing and peace. A total of 203 persons of Assam Rifles benefited from the event.
