DLSA observes International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women

TURA, Nov 25: Together with the rest of the world, West Garo Hills District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) observed the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women at the conference hall of the district and sessions court, Tura on Friday.

As a part of observation of the day, the DLSA also organised a legal awareness program where Rania K Marak, LAC, deliberated at length on the significance of the observation of International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women and Achintya Hajong, LAC, highlighted the provisions of the POCSO Act.

The program was presided over by Sinjia Momin, advocate and the vote of thanks was proposed by Chakkim A Sangma, para-legal volunteer.
