WILLIAMNAGAR, July 26: In a move to address concerns raised by the public, the deputy commissioner of East Garo Hills, Vibhor Aggarwal, has issued a circular directing all shopkeepers, vendors, and consumers in the district to accept the Rs 10 coin issued by the Reserve Bank of India as legal tender.

The circular comes after reports of the coin being refused by some businesses in the district, causing inconvenience and frustration among the public during transactions. As per the Reserve Bank of India’s regulations, the Rs. 10 coin is a valid form of payment, and its acceptance is mandatory.
