GUWAHATI, April 26: Army Recruitment Office (ARO), Rangapahar conducted an extensive outreach program in Don Bosco College of Kohima in Nagaland on April 26 to enhance recruitment in the Army in various categories including Officers, Agniveers etc. The programme was held in coordination with Employment and Labour Department of the Govt of Nagaland during Job Fair and Career-Expo. The outreach program was attended by over 270 eligible youth of Nagaland including cadets of 1st Battalion National Cadet Corps (NCC).
The session covered the importance and nuances of the Agnipath Scheme of recruitment, login procedures, creating a login ID for registration, recruitment notification for the year 2025-26, its advantages, opportunities post four years and clarifications of queries. Modalities of Officer entry schemes include National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Military Nursing Services (MNS) and Territorial Army (TA) along with Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews were elaborated upon.
The aspirants were briefed about the eligibility criteria, application procedures, and selection processes for each scheme. They were also explained about the organisation of the Army and types of Arms and Services. Handouts, posters, pamphlets and other publicity materials were also distributed.
