ITANAGAR, March 9: The Itanagar Capital Complex Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) has urged upon parents to guide their ward for a better future of Arunachal Pradesh.
The Capital DIG said this while participating in the 4th foundation programme of “Bachpan play school” here at DK Convention centre on Saturday.
Capital DIG Amo, the chief guest for the occasion asserted, “If you want a good harvest, you have to nurture your plant and take care (of it), likewise you have to guide your children and in their daily activities”.
“At the same time you have to take care of basic needs and motivate them to learn and educate themselves so that they can become a fine gentleman and serve the society if they become an officer, businessman, leader, doctor, engineer, administrator or social worker etc.,” said DIG Amo.
Speaking on the rise of drug cases, the DIG while terming “Charity begins at home”, appealed to the parents to care their wards specially the growing children and adults who are involving in bad habits and indulging in drugs and other activities which is affecting the health of the youths and their future.
“If we want to secure our future we have to take care of the present,” said DIG Amo.
He encouraged the parents and teachers to inculcate the children to dream big and never let them become the victim of drug addiction.
He handed over prizes to the children and awards to the best parents and also witnessed a cultural extravagance performed by the school children.
The managing director of school Taba Vinita Debia in her address said, “The school is putting all efforts to give you the modern education with deep rooted social values and this celebration is the outcome of our sincere dedication to give a strong foundation to our children”.
Principal Dungpong Purnima among other eminent personalities addressed the function and motivated the teaching faculty and appreciated the student’s performances.
