ITANAGAR, March 15: Khonsa Battalion of Assam Rifles organised a humanitarian outreach programme for distribution of artificial limbs under Operation Sadbhavana on Sunday at Khonsa for beneficiaries of Tirap and Longding districts, Arunachal Pradesh.
The initiative was undertaken with the aim of assisting specially-abled individuals suffering from physical disabilities to improve their mobility and quality of life.
The beneficiaries from Tirap and Longding districts were identified and were provided artificial limbs during the programme. The recipients who were in need were identified in coordination with local authorities to ensure timely and genuine support.
The event witnessed active participation of local community members and representatives. The recipients and their families expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Assam Rifles for the thoughtful gesture and continued support to the people of the region. The initiative reflects the commitment of Khonsa Battalion towards community welfare and its dedication towards fostering goodwill, trust and strong civil-military relations. Through such initiatives under Operation Sadbhavana, Assam Rifles continues to contribute towards the socio-economic upliftment and well-being of the local populace in Tirap district.
