Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi-Manipur expresses gratitude

IMPHAL, Jan 30 (NNN): The Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi-Manipur (LNKR), the apex student body of Liangmai people in Manipur, has expressed its happiness on the recent Manipur cabinet decision to upgrade the Primary Health Center (PHC) to Community Health Center (CHC).

The LNKR-M said in a press statement issued by its president Mathiuchunbou Rimai that it was made possible only through the “able leadership of Shri N. Biren Singh, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur”.

According to the LNKR, the Tamei PHC has been functioning smoothly and now under the medical officer in charge of Dr E A Adani Aricho and his colleagues Dr. Robin Chiru and Dr. Kawimai Newmai, the Tamei PHC was also awarded “Kaya Kalp Award” in 2022.

It can be noted here that the Tamei PHC is giving healthcare to around 70 Liangmai villages.

The (LNKR-M) then acknowledged the contributions made by Awangbow Newmai, minister of water resources and relief and disaster management, Government of Manipur in this regard. The LNKR also said that Awangbow has been rendering his help to the people.

According to the student body, when the Liangmai people faced hardship due to Covid-19 pandemic, minister Awangbow Newmai introduced and installed the Oxygen Plant and Oxygen Concentration at Tamei PHC and provided all the requirements.

The KNKR-M also said that Renee Newmai, the SDO of Tamei, has also contributed in uplifting the Tamei PHC by providing all necessary infrastructure and water pipeline and oversees whenever required.

Meanwhile, the LNKR-M wants the concerned authorities to implement and execute the decision taken.
