The Governor said, “Every section of the society has been affected by the situation in the state. Women and children have been affected and there is the need to support them with utmost care. Their minds are in turmoil because of the prevailing unrest. Such a theatre workshop will help in diverting their minds and help them to relax.”
Appreciating the role of KHENJONGLANG, the Governor said that such initiatives will help to remove stress from the young minds and foster a good mental back-up for the children.
She then asked the theatre group to continue their efforts and assured to extend all possible assistance from the Raj Bhavan.
“As children are the future pillars of the nation, facilities like good education, good healthcare etc. have to be delivered to them. All children are talented and they should be guided and nurtured in their area of interest,” the Governor added.
Expressing her serious concern over the situation in the state, the Governor said that steps to resolve the crisis were being initiated by taking up the matter with the central leaders from time to time and hopefully some tangible result would be seen in the near future.
