Manipur logs no fresh Covid-19 case, active cases drop to 7

IMPHAL, Nov 7 (NNN): Active Covid-19 caseload in Manipur declined below 10-mark to seven as the State reported zero fresh cases against nine discharges till Sunday.

Only 46 samples were tested for Covid-19 in the State in the last 24 hours and no sample tested positive for the virus, the latest bulletin of the State Health department said.

With no fresh cases, the infection tally stood at 1,39,890. The fatality toll also remained unchanged at 2,149 with no death related to the pandemic reported during the period.

The active caseload, however, declined to seven from previous day’s 16 as nine patients were discharged upon recovery on the day.

The latest discharges took the recovery tally to 1,37,731.

Meanwhile, only 136 people took the vaccine against Covid-19 on Saturday and it took the cumulative doses of the vaccine administered in the State till date to 32,56,909.

In the State, as many as 16,47,661 people have gotten the first dose of the vaccine and against it 13,34,392 people have received the second dose. Another 2,74,856 people have also taken the precautionary dose of the vaccine, the bulletin said.
