Imphal, Oct 31: Security forces carried out search operations in the peripheral and susceptible regions of Imphal-East, Bishnupur, Churachandpur, and Thoubal districts. In these operations, six bunkers were dismantled in Imphal East District. The operations led to the recovery of certain items as mentioned below:-
- 04 (four) arms (.303 Rifle with empty magazine -01, SMG carbine with empty magazine -01, AK MA-3 MK II with empty magazine -01, 9mm Pistol with empty magazine -01), 20 (twenty) HE Hand Grenades, 01(one) empty AK 47 magazine, 02(two) empty INSAS magazine, 01(one) empty INSAS LMG magazine and 01(one) empty M16 magazine were recovered from Sanjenbam Khullen, Gouranagar and Terakhong village under Lamlai PS, Imphal East district.
- 06 (six) arms (.22 Rifle with empty magazine bearing body No.1978 Butt no.8 -01, 9 mm Pistols with 02 empty magazines -02, Country made Pistol with empty magazine -01, SMG carbine with empty magazine -01, Muzzle loading Rifle- 01), 21 (twenty-one) explosives (GREN 80WP MK-1 -06, 36 HE Grenades -14, Mortar shell -01), 02(two) INSAS empty Magazine, 01(one) empty SLR Magazine, 34 (thirty-four) AK-47 empty Shells, 01(one) Broken Butt of DBBL, 15 (fifteen) Tube launchers, 10 (ten) Rings and 06 (six) High Density cartridges were recovered from Sanjenlok, Yangdoupokpi, Sanjenlok hill top (Mark) and Eshingthembi hill top, Sagolmang PS, Imphal East district.
- 02 (two) arms (.303 Rifle -01 and Local made single barrel gun -01), 02 (two) 7.62 mm ammunitions, 01 (one) Country made improvised long range heavy Mortar (06 ft), 02 (two) Empty cartridge of Country made improvised heavy Mortar, 01 (one) Tear smoke shell soft nose (SR)(HDPE – 38mm), 01 (one) Tear smoke shell soft nose, 01 (one) Cartridge 38mm anti-riot with rubber bullet ammunition AFK Pune, 01 (one) Dress combat, 01 (one) Pouch, 01 (one) Shoe pair, 01 (one) Backpack and Fake Currency amounting to Rs 1600 (Rupees One thousand six hundred only) (Rs 200 notes -08 nos.) were recovered from D. Moljang Village, Churachandpur PS, Churachandpur district.
Search operations were conducted by security forces in the fringe and vulnerable areas of Imphal-East, Bishnupur, Churachandpur and Thoubal districts in which 06 (six) bunkers were dismantled in Imphal East District.
