IMPHAL, Oct 22: Manipur reported four fresh Covid-19 cases which led to the increase in the active caseload to 32 with no recovery in the last 24 hours.
On Thursday, the State recorded six cases of the disease against two recoveries to take the active caseload to 28.
The State reported four fresh infections in the last 24 hours, according to an update by the State Health department.
The fresh infections took the overall count of infections to 1,39,865. The fatality toll, however, remained unchanged at 2,149 with no fresh death link to the virus in the last 24 hours.
Two of the four fresh infections were reported in Imphal East. Churachandpur and Tamenglong reported one each.
The test positivity rate of the day was 2.2% as the fresh cases were reported upon testing of 183 samples.
With no discharge upon recovery on the day, the recovery tally stood at 1,37,681 and the active caseload rose to 32.
Meanwhile, 860 more people vaccinated on Thursday to take the total doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered in the State till date to 32,50,544.
Of 16,46,554 people who got the first dose of the vaccine, 13,31,749 of them received the second dose. Another 2,72,241 people have taken the precautionary dose so far, according to the latest update of the State Health department. (NNN)
