IMPHAL, Sept 2: A 92-member delegation of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) will take part in the AICC’s ‘Mahangai Par Halla Bol’ at Ram Leela Maidan, New Delhi on September 4.

Speaking to reporters after flagging off the delegation at Congress Bhavan, the MPCC president slammed the Narendra Modi-led BJP Government over inflation and unemployment.

He said that the Congress would continue to raise its voice for the country’s distressed citizens while asserting that the country is backtracking in development under the BJP Government.

The people are suffering because of the Modi Government’s economic mismanagement, he said, and added that even Government employees and pensioners are suffering as a result of skyrocketing prices of goods.

“Even though the country’s economy is at such a bad stage, the BJP-led Government at the Centre remained doing nothing to address inflation. Instead the Government is trying to divert attention from real issues,” he further added.

He also said that the biggest problems facing the country are unemployment, inflation and growing hatred. Such big problems were never witnessed in the country before, he further added.

The Congress is organising the ‘Mahangai Par Halla Bol’ so as to air the woes of the people to the Government.

Meghachandra said that his party would continue to raise its voice for the country’s distressed citizens.

The MPCC president also took a jibe at the BJP Government in the State while alleging that except propaganda, the State Government is doing nothing to translate its 100-day programme which the chief minister announced when the new Government was formed in March this year. (NNN)
