Orientation on making science easy for students

Ri Bhoi, Dec 30: The PQH School of Education, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) has recently held an orientation programme for the students of classes 7 & 8 on the theme ‘Making Science Easy for Students’ at Pub Dimoria ME School, Topatoli.

The orientation programme was initiated and organized under the scheme of ‘Mentoring by Higher Educational Institution Concept’ of Samagra Siksha Abhiyan, Kamrup Metro. The programme was coordinated by Ali Bordoloi, Assistant Professor, PQH School of Education, USTM and Mukut Chandra Das (Nodal Teacher) of Pub Dimoria ME School, Topatoli.

The programme started with a welcome speech by Mujamil Haque, the Headmaster (I/C) of the school followed by the speech of the resource person Punita Borpujari Deori, Assistant Professor, PQH School of Education, USTM, who spoke about how science is a part of our day-to-day functioning.

An interaction programme with students was also conducted with some activities on basic science concepts. Students actively participated and enjoyed doing the activities. Students were highly motivated to Science learning and showed interest in more such programmes in their school. All the teachers of the school also attended the programme.

The programme ended with a Vote of thanks given by the Head Master of Pub Dimoria ME School, Topatoli.
