Plantation drive to initiate Mission Pink Gobuk

ITANAGAR, Feb 22: A Cherry blossom plantation drive under the banner “Mission Pink Gobuk’ was held in Gobuk village in Upper Siang in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.

The Mission Pink Gobuk was organised by Bomging Olung Angong. Adv Dubom Tekseng, president Gobuk Welfare Society, Ahik Miyu, DTO Upper Siang, PRI members, Mary Dalbong Brand ambassador and public of Gobuk actively participated in Plantation drive.

More than five thousand Cherry Blossom sapling, locally known as Dikong Appun were planted in Gobuk village. Sapling of Dikong Appun, generally found in mountains of Gobuk village were collected from forest and nurtured by the villagers.
